Tawe River Concerns

Last week I met with Councillor Matthew Bailey - Clydach to discuss concerns about pollution of our local rivers.

This meeting follows on from reports of children falling ill after swimming in sections of the River Tawe, which my colleague Rebeca Phillips AS/MS raised with the First Minister last month.

I was keen to hear Cllr Bailey's thoughts on what can be done to ensure that residents can remain safe while still enjoying our rivers, and I have begun to make enquiries about how this can be delivered.
